The Salvation Army is proud to offer two programs to assist members of the community with completing forms for federal and state income taxes and other service forms. Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) is provided to seniors and low income individuals who require assistance with federal and state income tax forms. The program is staffed by IRS trained volunteers who use our facilities to prepare taxes. Social Services staff at The Salvation Army also assists individuals who need help with Social Security disability applications, completing medical forms and writing letters for those who are not able to complete the process themselves. |

| They’re coming to us for a safe place to play. To learn, to grow into young men and women of character. These are kids from families with parents who worry about them after school — some of them might even be your neighbors. The Red Shield Center in Modesto provides what kids need most: guidance, security, friendship. | ![]() |
