The Salvation Army has several programs to help with those who are facing a crisis situation with utilities. Financial difficulties happen; you lost your job, lost your financial support, or are facing a large funeral bill which means you can't pay your utilities. If you have received a 15 day or 48 hour notice of disconnection of service from PG&E, MID, TID, City of Modesto, or City of Ceres, we can provide relief.
To qualify for assistance with PG&E, you must:
- Provide evidence of financial hardship which means you are facing extraordinary expenses that go beyond monthly bills, which must be paid in cash.
- Not be receiving any housing subsidy or Section 8 funds.
- have an income $5 more than your monthly rent or mortgage to qualify.
- apply only once within an 18 month period.
MID, TID, City of Modesto and Ceres have different requirements so please call 521-6249 for more information Mondays or Wednesdays. |
